Featured Project: Lenscrafters

Workstation purchases and network installations for larger companies are often handled internally. Occasionally, however, an independent office will decide to hire some outside labor to save themselves a little bit of money. Dr. George Poulos and Associates asked me to build them a couple of systems and install networks from scratch at two of their new offices in the Columbus, OH area.  Check out this article for technical specifications, obstacles, and tricks that I used to handle this job.

Facebook Connect Announced

Facebook has announced the next generation of change that it plans on bringing to the web.  This Fall, Mark Zuckerberg plans on releasing 'Facebook Connect", an internet passport that lets users log in to other online sites with their Facebook credentials.  So far, 24 popular websites and applications have joined the initiative.  By becoming a part of the OpenID Alliance, Facebook hopes to play a major role in uniting the web under a single, solid layer of security.
